In 2005 he graduated Komitas st.Conservatory in Yerevan composition class Edward Mirzoyan. In the period of 2008-2010. took high composition courses from Armenian talented composer Stephan Rostomyan
In 2003, at the Aram Khachaturian International Competition Young Composers., Arsen Harutyunyan's ''String quartet N1'' was awarded a special Incentive prize. In 2008, for his work ''6 VARIATION FOR STRING QUARTET'', - Arsen Harutyunyan was awarded a special diploma from the Minister of Culture. Hasmik Poghosyan. In 2011-2012. on the initiative of violinist Arusyak Hekimian was performed and recorded his 'Fantasia' for solo violin. In May 2012, Samson Tatosyan very successfully performed "Fantasy" for cello solо.
In May 2013 his 'THEMA 10 AND VARIATION' which commissioned by the famous cellist Aram Talalian had been executed, recorded and included them in the 'Anthology of ARMENIAN CHAMBER MUSIC' along with chamber works great Armenian composers, such as Aram Khachaturian, Arno Babajanyan, Eduard Mirzoyan, Tigran Mansourian.
